An empty Blue Cross Arena soon filled with close to 9,000 rowdy fans waiting to watch the war on the floor about to occur.
Decked out head-to-toe in Rochester Knighthawks gear, the fans erupted from the moment the teams were announced and didn’t stop cheering until the final second ticked off the clock.
It was a hard fought battle from both sides, and a few different bounces could have sent this game either way. But the defensive force of the Georgia Swarm was too much for the Knighthawks to overcome.
Despite the 13-9 loss to the Swarm, the passionate Rochester fans in attendance couldn’t deny what they’d just witnessed: a truly beautiful game.
